One of the most wonderful concerts ever. I couldn't of been happier in those suspended hours.
The Paradiso is such an amazing concert venue. An old church, with beautiful stained glasses windows. So intimate, and upstairs filled with admirers hanging off the balcony blowing kisses.
Jane is incredible. She sang from her last two albums of duets and self-composed songs which I need to get, and much Gainsbourg. The three musicians she had with her were phenomenally talented. She sang and danced through the rows and those standing, joked and saddened, beamed with that beautiful wide smile that could start fires. The audience was bursting with love for her and her emotion was in each song, she was in every moment. She gave us unexpected gifts of La Ballade de Johnny Jane, Je M'Appelle Jane, and in a powerful demand for an encore, a heartbreaking Manon ("the saddest song, but it's my favourite"). One of my favourites too.
Merci Jane. De tout mon coeur.

So glad for you. What luck to see her in your new city.
I remember her passion and beauty from the Sydney performance.
