Wanted

A kitchen hand to help a private chef for a home in Sardinia for 5 months.

A lifestyle writer in Dubai for £80,000 tax-free.

On the way, finding this: I said thanks to a ticket machine. I was miles away, and when the ticket popped out, I involuntarily said thanks. Has anyone else had any experience of this? Perhaps with snack dispensers/coffee machines/photocopy card crediters? Do get in touch.

And now, I just applied for a job in...Slough.

Hold on, I haven't been following obviously. Slough? You're moving?

I'm keeping my options open as it's been very hard to find work here (ie I still don't have a job), so London is my plan b.

Hey, the lifestyle writer sounds good. You have a lifestyle, right? You could write about it.

Where is Slough? England? Go for it. You'll get the job you're meant to get.

Slough = The Office!

I don't think I could live in Dubai by myself.

Thanks for the kind words :-)

The Sardinia job tickled my fancy ... just think of your tan :)

Slough ... umm ... on the plus side my parents are a 30 min drive away

Babe, even though it doesn't seem that way ... really the world is your oyster. You can get on a plane and go and do any of these things ... very few have that freedom

Maybe you'll find your very own Tim Canterbury there. Good luck with whatever happens next!

Wow Slough! I hear that there is a great place to work there in the stationery trade.... x

Would love to hear more about the position itself. I'll check out Gumtree again. I stopped looking there for a while. Thanks for the tip!

I hope the job market works out for you soon. I believe the job market in Europe is difficult for you expats.

London or Dublin give it a go you might get a surprise.

I'm great, gorgeous. I have been so insanely busy with work these last couple of months, but I have been checking in to read all about your adventures. I am looking forward to catching up with you in Sydney on your return. You should be so proud of yourself for all you are doing. I promise to be in contact more regularly. x x x

...but not in Slough. (on the upside, the Mars factory is in Slough so the whole place smells of Mars Bars when you drive past it on the motorway; which is the only contact I advise having with the place.)
